SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 15: Two gunmen looted paramedical staff and patients of a private hospital in Ferozwattowan on Friday morning.

The outlaws entered the private hospital and held paramedical staff and patients hostage at gunpoint.

They tortured the staff and collected cash, gold ornaments and other valuables before fleeing.

After the incident, the relatives of patients strongly protested the poor law and order situation in the area.

Meanwhile, highway robbery, dacoity and oil stealing incidents have increased on Sheikhupura-Faislabad and Lahore-Sheikhupura roads.

Traders and transporters say the highway patrolling police remain busy in challaning motorists instead to patrolling the road.

KILLED: Two schoolgoing children were crushed to death by a hit and run car in Kharianwala locality on Faislabad Road on Friday.

Sumera and Shahid Maan, on thier way to school, were crossing the highway.
