PESHAWAR, Aug 11: The Speaker of NWFP Assembly, under clause (3) of article 54 read with article 127 of the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan summoned the session of the Provincial Assembly at 9.30am on Tuesday (Aug 12) in the assembly building here. It was notified in an official letter issued by the assistant secretary Provincial Assembly of NWFP on Monday.

APP adds: Speaker NWFP Assembly Karamatullah Khan said on Monday that impeachment motion is top agenda item of the NWFP Assembly session.

Talking to reporters here, he said, the session could continue for 10 to 15 days wherein scores of other issues like law and order, floods in Peshawar, price hike etc would be taken up. He said the process to be adopted for the disposal of the impeachment motion against the President would be decided after seeking consent of the house whether to go for show of hands or any other procedure.— Bureau Report
