2 Pakistani climbers scale Nanga Parbat
SKARDU, July 31: Two Pakistani climbers scaled the Peak of Nanga Parbat (8125 meter) in the Himalayan mountain ranges, sources told Dawn here on Thursday.
Nisar Hussain and Mohammad Ali residents of Sadpara village Baltistan were working for a 7-member German expedition team on Nanga Parbat as high altitude porters.
Just a couple of weeks ago, on a sunny day, Nisar Hussain succeeded to put his feet on the summit of the peak at noon first of all. Later, the expedition leader Mr. Rainer and deputy leader Mr Fomus along with their Balti high altitude porter Mohammad Ali also reached on the top at 4 pm, while the rest had to cancel their climbing due to severe harsh weather.
