BANNU: Principal shot dead

BANNU, July 15: Unidentified gunmen on Tuesday shot dead the principal of a government high school and injured a child.

Eyewitnesses and police said that Abdul Jabbar, principal of the Government High School No.3, was going in a pick-up van to Bannu city when armed men traveling in a car forced him to get off the vehicle near Lawara bridge in Saleh Khan Mandio area, and shot him dead.

A child, Owais, who was also going in the pick-up, suffered critical bullet injuries.
