LAHORE, July 3: The Pakistan Cricket Board’s Level-III Coaching Education Course is in full swing here these days at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Sixteen PCB Elite Panel coaches are participating in this professional course, which is being held in collaboration with Cricket Australia (CA).

Dr Marc Portus, Andrew Zesers, Chris Harris, Graham House, Martin Gleeson, Brad Ruddle and Ross Turner (CA officials) are conducting this course with the NCA Coach Education Department.

Those who are attending the course include Aaqib Javed, Mansoor Rana, Mohsin Kamal, Umar Rasheed, Jalaluddin, Haris Khan, Azam Khan, Waseem Haider, Shahid Anwar, Sabih Azhar, Taimur Azam, Abdur Rehman, Sadiq Mohammad, Shaukat Mirza, Shamsa Hashmi and Sajjad Akbar.

CA will also be liable to have the in-course as well as after-course assessment of the candidates, database maintenance and accreditation of the course in conjunction with the PCB.

The course will be a huge step forward towards enhancing the PCB coach education programme and will help the coaches in achieving excellence in performance through multidisciplinary approaches of science (e.g. biomechanics, psychology, nutrition and I.T.).—APP
