Raisani for action against criminals

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, July 3: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has asked police and other law-enforcement agencies to act against elements involved in target killings and other crimes.

Presiding over a meeting on law and order here on Thursday, he said the government was determined to curb lawlessness.

“Police and law-enforcement personnel should play an effective role in curbing crimes in the province,” Mr Raisani said.

The chief minister later visited a number of police stations in the city. DIG Operation Qazi Abdul Wahid briefed him on the steps police had taken for protecting people.

The chief minister called for increasing police patrols. He said he himself would go round the city and meet the people to know about their problems.

Mr Raisani also visited homes of three people who were killed by armed men on the Brewery road two days ago.

The chef minister also went to the civil hospital and inquired after the health of under-treatment patents.
