KARACHI, July 3: Nine ships carrying containers, phosphate, coal and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Lucky Arrow to load cement, Bunga Kenari, APL Dalian, APL Jeddah and China Star to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of seven.

The departing ships were led by Cape Colorado, APL Dalian, Bunga Kenari, Bengal Orchid, Otello Manship and Noor-e-Madina, while APL Jeddah, Orient-2, China Star, Rio Ekuku and Lucky Arrow are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 94,913 tons comprising 41,918 tons of export cargo, notably cement and 52,995 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Bulk Arrow to load 17,500 tons of cement, Sin Chou with rock phosphate, Guan He Kou with general cargo, Eric G. Gibson, Gulf Bridge, Orient Stride and Y.M. Inventive with containers.
