KARACHI, June 22: The Sindh Assembly, which is scheduled to meet after a two-day break on Monday, will resume the general discussion on the budget statement for the financial year 2008-09 and on the supplementary budget statement for 2007-08.

During the first two days, as many as 23 members including four from the opposition benches, had participated in the budget discussion.

The general discussion to be continued till Wednesday will be followed by a one-hour discussion on the charged expenditure and voting for grants in the supplementary budget for the year 2007-08 on Thursday.

On Friday, the schedule of authorised supplementary expenditure for the year 2007-08 will be presented in the assembly to be followed by a discussion and voting on demands for grants for the year 2008-09.
