MUZAFFARGARH, June 14: Four people, including three children, were killed and two injured in a house collapse following a fireworks explosion at Jandalwala near Khangarh here on Saturday.

Reports said Abdul Jabbar and Waris were making fireworks at their six-room house. The building was also being used as storage for explosives. On Saturday, the material exploded, razing the house to ground.

Locals and police carried out a rescue operation and removed four bodies and three injured people from the debris.

Those who died were identified as Abdullah, Ayesha, Anila aged below 10 years and Abdul Rehman.

The injured -- Surriya and Rehana -- were referred to Nishtar Hospital because of their critical condition.

Police are investigating.
