Nato envoys to be briefed

ISLAMABAD, May 25: The government will hold a briefing for Nato ambassadors to reassure them that negotiations being held with tribal leaders will not be detrimental to the security situation in Afghanistan.

According to an official spokesman, any agreement with tribal leaders for peace in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas will be contingent on renunciation of violence, ending support for foreign fighters and ensuring an end to cross-border attacks.—APP
