KASUR, May 14: On the orders of the district police officer, Ganda Singh police have registered a case against its suspended SHO for alleged abuse of power and highhandedness here on Wednesday.

Reports said Ganda Singh SHO inspector Shaukat Ali Tabbasum raided the farm of Dr Mahmood Abbas on the complaint of his rival, Muhammad Javaid, over a land dispute at Emanpura village without fulfilling legal formalities.

The former SHO and his team captured Abbas’s son Muhammad Ilyas and his relative, Sarwar. They allegedly took away Rs200,000 in cash and 500 maunds of wheat from the farm house of Abbas on his tractor-trolley.
