PESHAWAR: Police seize 2,396 bags of flour
Bureau ReportPESHAWAR, May 10: The city police on Saturday claimed to have seized 2,396 bags of flour in parts of the metropolis which were being smuggled to Afghanistan.
A spokesman for the police said that 650 bags of flour were recovered from a truck on Shabqadar Road, in limits of Daudzai police station. The truck driver, Zubair, was arrested.
Similarly, another truck was impounded near Barapul Checkpost and 130 bags of flour were recovered from it. Two persons, identified as Farooq Saleem and Ibrahim, were arrested.
