SHIKARPUR: PPP demands transfer of Shikarpur DPO

SHIKARPUR, May 3: A shutterdown strike was observed in Garhi Yasin town followed by a rally led by the Pakistan People’s Party taluka president, Pirzado, in protest against the DPO of Shikarpur, Agha Tahir, on Saturday.
The PPP activists and other social welfare organisations also took out protests rallies in Madeji, Mirzapur, Dakhan and Daro towns against the Shikarpur DPO.
The protesters said that the DPO had completely failed in controlling crimes in the district.They demanded immediate transfer of the Shikarpur DPO and posting of a new honest DPO to control the increasing lawlessness in the area.
