KARACHI, May 3: Five ships carrying containers, edible oil, diesel oil and coke were berthed during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, eight more ships with containers, edible oil, chemicals and wheat also arrived at the outer anchorage. Eight ships, Maersk Novanzzano, Sima Pars, Leopard-B, Nova Noor, Oram Agility, H.S Acacia, Sealion and Venus, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil, seeds, diesel oil and coke.

A cargo volume of 86,982 tons comprising 69,536 tons of import and 17,446 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sima Pars and Maersk Novanzzano sailed out.
