Event to remember late umpire

LAHORE, April 29: Sixteen teams will take part in the first Siddique Khan Memorial cricket tournament to be held here from the mid of May.

The dates and other details of the tournament will be announced by Pakistan’s former fast bowler Wasim Akram after the inaugural match, which will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium on May 11, to pay tribute to late international umpire Siddique. Prominent cricketers of the Ludhiana Gymkhana, to which Siddique belonged, will take part in the inaugural match.—Sports Reporter
