KARACHI, April 29: Eight ships carrying DAP fertiliser, chemicals and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was light where three ships, Mol Ability, Mare Threctum to unload and load containers and Bruce Park to load ethanol were berthed after the departure of five.

The departing ships were led by Conti Germany, Hanjin Ningbo, Y.M. Inventive, Fillipa and New Century, while Annita, Red Sea Spirit, Winco Silvia, Seven Seas Aurora, Mol Ability, Pertiwi, Mare Threctum, Lucky Arrow, Bruce Park and Transport are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 114,000 tons comprising 42,814 tons of export cargo and 70,756 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Iran Faraz with 10,000 tons of jet oil, Chemroad Luna to load 10,000 tons of ethanol, Sinar Agra with chemicals, Cap Colorado, APL Cairo, Orient Stride and Kapitan Byankin with containers and Nikolaos-P with 31,919 tons of DAP fertiliser.
