Performance of military accounts reviewed
ISLAMABAD, April 28: Federal Minister for Defence Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar has asked the Military Accounts Department to maintain strict financial discipline and ensure prompt payments to organisations concerned.
At a meeting held to review the department’s performance, Military Accountant-General Raja Gul Mohammad Khan briefed the minister on steps taken to improve efficiency, particularly to strengthen its internal audit mechanism.
The minister said that the organisation needed improvement in training and capacity-building.
He also asked the military accountant-general to ensure transparency in budget monitoring and expenditure control system.
