NOWSHERA: 45 injured as bus falls into ravine

NOWSHERA, April 26: At least 45 labourers were injured, when a bus plunged into a deep ravine on GT Road near Machine Chowk on the jurisdiction of Pubbi Police Station on Saturday.

The ill-fated bus bearing No. 5592 DIR carrying about 70 labourers was on its way from Nowshera Kalan to Peshawar that when it reached Machine Chowk, near Pubbi it turned turtle and fell into a deep ditch in the maiden strip of the GT Road as one of its front tyres burst. As a result 45 people were injured. 22 of them were admitted to Pubbi hospital, while six were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital here in precarious condition. The rest were discharged after being administered first aid.
