KARACHI, April 26: Five vessels carrying containers and coal are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Y.M. Inventive to unload and load containers, Sun Rise to offload and load general cargo, World Majesty and Erria Mie to load ethanol and Merbabu to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of eight.

The departing ships were led by Johar, Sun Mercury, Sea Skay, Le Ding, Kota Puri, Oel Mumbai, Hyun Jin KS-3 and Valbella, while Hyundai Stride, Erria Mie, Sun Rise, Merbabu and Atoyac are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as total tonnage handled rose to 0.131m tons comprising 31,086 tons of export cargo including 10,700 tons of clinkers and 6,059 tons of cement and 99,394 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Mare Threcium, Hanjin Ningbo, Cosco Lian Yun Gang, Conti Germany with containers and Annita with 41,853 tons of coal.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Orient Stride, Seven Sesa Aurora and Mol Ability.
