Call for release of nationalists

DADU, April 25: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chairman Bashir Qureshi has demanded release of Baloch and Sindhi nationalist leaders and withdrawal of cases against them.

He was speaking at a gathering in Sann, district Jamshoro, on Friday on the occasion of 13th death anniversary of nationalist leader G.M. Syed.

The JSQM and JSQM organising committee held separate gatherings to mark the death anniversary and Sindh United Party chairman Jalal Mehmood Shah, the grandson of G.M. Syed, attended both the gatherings and called for unity among Sindhi nationalists.Mr Qureshi said that resources of Sindh were usurped by outsiders. He said that Sindhi people were committing suicide due to joblessness. He said that if jobs were not given to them in the multinational companies, they would launch a struggle against them. He asked the government to end un-employment.

He said that G.M. Syed had guided Sindhis how to get rights of Sindh and they would continue their struggle for independence of Sind which was the only solution for their problems. He demanded release of Sindhi and Baloch nationalist leaders. He thanked Baloch nationalist leaders for cooperating with JSQM during protest for release of Dr Safdar Sarki.

He demanded withdrawal of cases against Baloch and Sindhi nationalist leaders, including Dr Safdar Sarki, Asif Baladi, Muzffar Bhutto, Nawaz Zour, Sattar Hakro, Asghar Shah and Akhtar Mengal.

He announced three days of mourning on the killing of JSQM activist Ali Shaikh, killed in a clash on Super Highway near Jamshoro. He said his killers must be arrested.

Speaking on the occasion Jalal Mehmood urged nationalist leaders to end their differences and unite themselves as a single party. He said that nationalist leaders should play their role for restoration of Sindh’s rights. Jalal Mehmood and Syed Zain Shah, along with hundreds of activists, laid floral wreaths and offered fateha at the grave of G.M. Syed.

Speaking at gathering organised by JSQM Organising committee, Abdul Wahid Arisar, said that G.M. Syed was not only a nationalist leader but a great scholar and philosopher. He said that Syed was an institution. He said that they believed in lesson of Syed which he had taught them. He said that they would continue their struggle for establishment of Sindhu Desh.
