KARACHI, April 25: Two ships carrying containers and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two more vessels with containers and palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Nine ships, Maersk Navazzano, Sibi, Giovana Luliano, Rio Gracia, Nan Hai, Coromel, Vema Ocean, Yanaseni and Barcelona Bright, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, LPG, wheat, coal, palm oil, furnace oil, chemicals, and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 74,006 tons comprising 72,595 tons of import and 1,441 tons of export cargo was handled.Coromel, Nan Hai, Vema Ocean and Barcelona Bright sailed out while Sibi was expected to leave the port.
