LAHORE, April 24: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf said on Thursday that no financial irregularities had been committed in the board and a wrong impression was being created in a section of the press in this regard.

“We are running the PCB in a transparent manner and it is wrong to say that financial irregularities have been committed,” he told reporters here at the Gaddafi Stadium.

He said a probe will be conducted to mark the responsible persons who are providing wrong information to Senate regarding the salaries of some board officials.

“We respect the Parliament and we are ready to provide all information to them besides extending cooperation on cricket related matters,” said the PCB Chief.

He added that the PCB is striving to promote cricket through all means. “We will be holding a cricket seminar on July 5 in Karachi for the overall development of the game in Pakistan.”
