National Twenty20 rescheduled

By Our Sports Reporter

LAHORE, April 24: The national Twenty20 cricket tournament will now be held in Karachi from August 10 to 18.

The tournament scheduled for earlier this year, was deferred twice due to varying reasons.

It was first postponed in January when its sponsors asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to move it ahead to the last week of April after authorities imposed a ban on the transmission of the private TV channel that was to cover the event live.

But now as many star cricketers were not available due to their participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the event had to be moved forward yet again to August.
