Lillee praises Asif

Published April 25, 2008

NEW DELHI, April 24: Legendary Aussie fast bowler Dennis Lillee on Thursday said the presence of Pakistani pacer Mohammed Asif had given a slight edge to Delhi Daredevils in the IPL.

“We have a very good bowling line-up. I have always maintained it even before Asif joined us. But now his presence will definitely be an added boost because he is a quality bowler,” said Lillee.

Lillee said that Asif’s ability to bowl an accurate line and length made him special. “I expect Asif to bowl well and he has done exactly that in the only league match he has played against Deccan Chargers.”—Agencies
