Teenager commits suicide

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 23: A teenaged boy committed suicide by consuming pesticide in Aleem village near Kandiaro on Tuesday.

Two brothers quarrelled with each other while the father namely Imdad Soomro thrashed his one son Allahdad. Allahdad felt disgraced and committed suicide by drinking pesticides.

Meanwhile, a teenaged boy attempted to commit suicide near Kandiaro on Tuesday. Amin Machhi 13, who also consumed pesticides in Khanan Machhi village, was immediately removed to taluka hospital Kandiaro. The motive behind the suicide attempt is said to be domestic problem.

KIDNAPPED: Line Superintendent, Hesco, Mohbat Dero, Baz Mohammad Bhayo, was kidnapped and tied with iron chain, according to FIR lodged by him under section 342, 147, 148 and 506/2 PPC at the Kandiaro police station.

According to Mr Bhayo, five people called him from his house and as he came out, they kidnapped and confined him in a room in Kandiaro.

He further stated that accused tied him with iron chain and freed him after issuing him threats.

According to FIR, he was released on Tuesday and visited the police station and lodged the FIR against Ali Nawaz Ghanghro, Hakim and three other unidentified persons. Sources said that his kidnapping incident related to recovery of an amount from one of his close relatives.

DEMO: More than 20 ad-hoc lecturers staged a demonstration in Kandiaro on Tuesday. Lecturers led by Khadim Dahiri, Imdad Mahessar, Shabbir Sehto and Ashiq Ali Rajpar staged a demonstration in front of the Kandiaro press club. They demanded of the Sindh government to regularise their services. They also complained that they were denied salaries for the last two months.
