KARACHI, April 23: President of the Awami National Party, Sindh chapter, Shahi Syed has urged the provincial government to order release of all political prisoners.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he referred to the Balochistan government’s announcement about the release of all political prisoners, and said that the Sindh government should follow suit.

He expressed his concern over the continued detention of political leaders, including Akhtar Mengal, Afaq Ahmed, Aamir Khan, adding that they were implicated in various cases instituted on political grounds.—PPI
