PAF to meet Navy in final

ISLAMABAD, April 22: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Navy advanced to the final of the first National sand volleyball championship after winning their semi-final fixtures.

In the first semi-final played at the Sports Complex, PAF knocked Wapda ‘A’ 21-11, 21-15.

Some good smashes and defense by PAF spiker, Ismail, gave them firm command against Wapda ‘A’.

It was an easy win for PAF as they clinched the game in 45 minutes against the low performing Wapda ‘A’.

PAF captain Ismail told Dawn that his team won the semi-final by virtue of being in practice. About Wednesday ’s final with Pakistan Navy he said that they would give a tough time to the opponents.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Navy continued to stun their opponents as they defeated Wapda ‘B’ 2-0 to reach the final.

Navy’s setter, Muhammad Asad, showed some acrobatic defense against Wapda ‘B’.

Navy team got an easy victory with 21-11 and 21-14 in the 42-minute decider.
