RAWALPINDI, April 22: PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari obtained on Tuesday nomination papers for by-elections for the NA-55, Rawalpindi-VI, which has been vacated by Makhdoom Javed Hashami.
Advocate Tahir Mehmood Abbasi collected the papers for Mr Zardari.
PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, PML-N president Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan have also obtained nomination papers for the seat. Mr Ahsan has applied PPP’s ticket for the by-election.
