PESHAWAR, April 21: The city police on Monday claimed to have arrested 59 persons allegedly involved in criminal activities.

A spokesperson for the police said that the arrested persons included four proclaimed offenders. They were arrested from various parts of the city and police reportedly recovered weapons and narcotics from their possession.

The weapons included two Kalashnikovs, four rifles, 14 pistols and a stolen car.

Meanwhile, the city police arrested a man who had allegedly snatched an auto-rickshaw from his friend a day earlier.
