Glamorgan recruit Gibbs for Twenty20
CARDIFF, April 19: English county Glamorgan have struck a major deal with South Africa batsman Herschelle Gibbs for the county’s Twenty20 campaign this summer.
“I’ll be coming from the Pro20 competition in South Africa and then the Indian Premier League (IPL). I’ll be in the perfect mindset,” Gibbs, who is eligible to play for the county from June 11, said.
Matthew Maynard, the Glamorgan manager, acknowledged the right-handed batsman’s credentials in the game’s limited-overs format.—Agencies
