Mir Mehmood triumph

HYDERABAD, April 18: Mir Mehmood Sports won the quarter-final of Aftab Ahmed Qureshi Memorial Inter-club cricket tournament by defeating Naeem Siddiqui Sports by seven wickets at the Government Degree College Ground here on Friday.

Naeem Siddiqui Sports won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 109 for the loss of eight wickets.

Nadeem Qureshi and Ali Ahmed were the prominent scorers with 28 and 20 runs, respectively.

Mir Ali and Shiraz Dero took two wickets each for 16 and 22 runs, respectively.

Mir Mehmood Sports achieved the target for the loss of three wickets. Ayaz Ali struck 30 whereas Shahnawaz and Mir Suleman scored 24 runs each.
