Malaysia panel to choose judges
KUALA LUMPUR, April 17: Malaysia’s prime minister has announced plans to set up an independent panel that will select judges. The measure is part of judicial reforms that the government hopes to implement.
It comes in the wake of a video scandal involving accusations that a lawyer conspired with judges, politicians and a businessman to manipulate appointments.—AP
