Faryal may contest from Larkana

Published April 17, 2008

LAHORE, April 16: Faryal Talpur, sister of PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, is likely to contest by-election for the NA-207 (Larkana) seat.

The polling in this constituency could not be held on Feb 18 because of the assassination of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.

Mr Asif Zardari would be her covering candidate, party sources said here on Wednesday.

However, PPP spokesman Farhatullah Babar said that no decision had so far been taken on the subject.—Political Correspondent
