Retail price of 20kg atta bag increased to Rs375
ATTOCK, April 16: Following the decision of the Punjab government, the local administration on Wednesday increased the ex-mill and retail price of a 20kg bag of wheat flour by Rs75.
District Coordination Officer Abdul Razzak Malik issued the revised rate list to the flour mill owners and retailers under which the new ex-mill and retail prices had been fixed at Rs365 and Rs375, respectively.
Earlier, a 20kg bag of flour was being sold for Rs290 at mills and Rs300 at retail outlets.
Mr Malik told Dawn that like other districts, the increase had been notified after the approval of the Punjab government.
According to him, wheat is being provided to flour mills at Rs625 per 40kg against the previous rate of Rs465.
He said the flour mills had been directed to ensure the required supply to the local markets.—Correspondent
