Clarification

ISLAMABAD, April 16: The LPG Association of Pakistan has clarified that its press release published in the April 9 issue of Dawn (More LPG stations to be set up) quoted Sohail A. Quraishi, CEO of SHV Energy Pakistan (Private) Limited, as saying that the previous government’s policy to equate local LPG production prices to the international prices has created a crisis in the LPG sector.

The association said the press release should have said that Mr Quraishi attributed last year’s LPG sector crisis to a number of factors including but not limited to the producer pricing policy. The LPG Association regretted the error caused by its own press release.
