KARACHI, April 16: Nine ships carrying palm oil and tallow and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Antwerp Ace, Cape Negro, Jitra Bhum, Orient Stride and APL Pusan to unload and load containers and New Alliance, an oil tanker were berthed after the departure of three.
The departing ships were led by Sunar Bintan, Loa and Bunga Terasek, while Jitra Bhum, Cape Negro, APL Pusan, New Alliance, Lady Chitra and Bulk Arrow are due to sail out on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.153m tons comprising 53,567 tons of export cargo including 6,574 tons of cement, 5,000 tons of clinkers and 1,364 tons of sugar and 99,398 tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Coromel with 12,000 tons of palm oil, Sun Mercury with 4,000 tons of tallow, Soko Maru, World Majesty, to load ethanol, Oel Strength, Emirate Wasi, Calvin P. Titus, As Mars, and Tenth Ocean with containers.
