P&D Board gets new head

LAHORE, April 13: The Punjab government on Sunday transferred Planning and Development Board Chairman Suleiman Ghani.

He was replaced by Sami Saeed, DMG BS-21, earlier an additional secretary in the finance division before his transfer to the provincial government on Saturday.

An official notification said that Mr Ghani was made an officer on special duty (OSD). But a senior official said on telephone that he was made head of the Lahore Mass Transit Authority.

Mr Saeed belongs to the 7th common and is the batch mate of Chief Secretary Javed Mehmood. He has served as provincial excise secretary in the previous government.

Also, Khanewal Finance and Planning executive district officer Muhammad Ali Amir was made an OSD and additional charge of the post was given to District Coordination Officer Shakil Ahmad. —Staff Reporter
