Over a million rupee robbery is not a police case!

By Our Correspondent

VEHARI, April 13: Five armed dacoits looted cash, jewellery and other valuables worth over a million from a shop in the Karampur city area here on Sunday. Police, however, have not registered a case.

The dacoits broke into the shop of Mushtaq Saqi, looted Rs1 million, 20 kilogram silver, 15 tolas gold ornaments and seven cell phones and fled.

Karampur police are investigating. SHO Karampur police station Rana Tanveer said the case would be registered when the victim would file an application for the registration of the case.

However, Saqi said he had informed the police about the dacoity incident, but the police did not register the case. Jewelers staged a protest demo against the dacoity and demanded an immediate arrest of the dacoits.
