Intelligence official shot dead

CHARSADDA, April 11: An official of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) was killed here on Friday.

Police said that Inspector Khaleequ Zaman was going to his office after offering Juma prayers when he was attacked.

He was taken to the Charsadda district headquarters hospital where he died.

It may be mentioned that pro-Taliban militants have been active in the area for a long time.

According to Mr Zaman’s bodyguard, three people opened fire on him and drove away.
