Faisalabad, April 11: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has surprisingly postponed the emergency meeting of its Governing Board which was to be held in Lahore on Saturday.

While the PCB had not issued any agenda for the meeting nor were any invitation letters sent to the members, it was still said to be an important meeting which will now take place at a later date.

According to sources, the PCB chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf - under the current political change in the country – is keen to take a vote of confidence from the members for which the Saturday’s meeting was apparently scheduled.

It has been further learnt that one of the board members, Dr Mohammad Ali Shah, the president of Karachi Region, was likely to face severe criticism for speaking against the five-year ban imposed on fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar in Saturday’s meeting.
