Three shot dead in botched robbery

HYDERABAD, April 11: Three people including a policeman were killed when bandits opened fire after meeting resistance in a robbery attempt in a shop in Makki Shah late on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Aijaz Kalhoro, the owner of cellular phone company’s franchise, his employee Ayub Palari and Mevo Khan, policeman.

Bandits killed Kalhoro and Palari when they put up resistance and also shot dead at the shop’s door the policeman who was just entering the shop to get a new connection.

An employee of the shop, Aftab, said that they were about to close the shop when the bandits struck there and said he did not know if they had taken away cash or not.
