Four men, woman fall victim to old feuds

SHIKARPUR, April 11: A man, his son and a woman fell victim to an old feud between Shar and Khosa tribes over a piece of land in Maee Jamri village and two other men lost their lives in a clash between Brohi and Thaheem tribesman .

A group of armed Shar tribesmen attacked Khosa tribesmen in Maee Jamri village and in the ensuing exchange of fire between the two groups, three people identified as Abdul Karim Khoso, his son Dad Muhammad and a woman Ms Sharifan Khoso were killed.

Police moved to the village and managed to bring the situation under control but the incident has spread harassment among people belonging to the two tribes.

In another clash between Brohi and Thaheem tribesmen in Jehangir Khan Thaheem village in Garhi Yasin taluka on Friday two men were killed and three injured.

Lal Jan Brohi and Mazhar Ali Thaheem were killed and three other people were injured in a gun battle between two groups of Brohi and Thaheem tribesmen.

The clash broke out over a dispute among children over some petty issue.

FREED:Daud Khan Pathan and Huzoor Bux Bharchoondi, who were kidnapped a few days ago in the jurisdiction of Sultankot police station, reached home on Thursday.

The villagers said that the hostages were released through the efforts of their relatives and notables while police claimed they had been kidnapped after an encounter with bandits in the Jagan forest.
