Quake victims’ rehabilitation promised
ISLAMABAD, April 11: Deputy Chairman Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (Erra) Lt-Gen Nadeem Ahmed has promised comprehensive rehabilitation of the persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the quake-affected areas.
Speaking at a ceremony held on Friday to distribute certificates among the technical staff of the medical rehabilitation of the persons with disabilities, he said the Erra was especially focussing on the rehabilitation of the most vulnerable groups to make them productive part of the society.
Project Director of the medical rehabilitation Dr Jehanzeb Khan Aurakzai said the resource information centres being set up by the
Erra in the four most affected districts of NWFP and Azad Jammu and Kashmir would provide services to the physically challenged persons.—Our Reporter
