Sufi music festival from 24th

MULTAN, April 10: The four-day International Sufi Music Festival will begin at Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh on April 24.

Pakistani and foreign groups will perform at the festival being organised by the Rafi Pir Theatre in partnership with the Multan city district government.

Besides Pakistani singers Abida Perveen, Sher Miandad, Sher Ali, Mehr Ali, Mai Sohni, Niazi Brothers, Sanam Marvi, Ustad Hussain Bakhsh, Mithu Sain, Mansoor Malangi, Taj Mastani, Akhtar Chinar Mazhri, Zarsanga and Faqir Sindhi, singers from Turkey, Iran, Egypt and Syria would perform at the festival that will conclude on April 27, Rafi Pir Theatre Director Saadan Pirzada told City District Nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar and District Coordination Officer Fazeel Asghar during a briefing here on Thursday.

Pirzada said the festival had already been organised in America and Canada and arrangements were being made for such festivals in UK and Arab countries.
