ISLAMABAD, April 9: Pakistan Muslim League president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, the chief of PML-Q’s Sindh chapter, discussed the prevailing political situation with President Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday.

Sources said that all issues, particularly the law and order situation in the country, came under discussion during the meeting held at the president’s Rawalpindi camp office.

The PML leader informed the president about efforts being made by the party to strengthen the opposition groups in provincial assemblies.

Chaudhry Shujaat also briefed the president on his recent meeting with PML-F leader Pir Pagara and the progress on reunifying the two factions of Muslim League.

The meeting, according to the sources, also discussed the efforts being made by the coalition government for reinstatement of superior court judges, including Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, and its possible fallout.
