LAHORE, April 7: The Punjab government has formed a working group on health to give recommendations regarding the health care delivery system and medical education.
According to a circular, MPA Tanvir Islam Rana and Prof Dr Amer Aziz will be its chairman and convener, respectively.
The group comprises government officials, technocrats besides members of the provincial assembly.
The government officials and technocrats are the provincial health secretary, additional health secretaries, University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Malik Husain Mubashar, Ganga Ram Hospital\Fatima Jinnah Medical College Chief Executive Prof Dr Majid Chaudhry, Prof Dr Shaheena Asif, Prof Khalid Gondal, Dr Naeemuddin Mian, Dr Inamul Haq, Dr Farid Khan, Waqar Khan and Asadullah Khan Sumbal.
While the MPAs are Dr Asad Ashraf, Lt-Col Sardar Ayub Khan (retired), Dr Zumrad Yasmin, Dr Farrukh Javed, Begum Iffat Liaquat Ali Khan, Neelam Jabbar, Akram Khan, Muhammad Ashraf Chohan, Faiza Malik and ex-MPA Samiuallah Chaudhry.
The group will reportedly submit its recommendations to the government within a month.
