KARACHI, April 7: The Karachi Building Control Authority staff on Monday sealed off the ground floor of a building standing on plot number JM-498 in Jamshed Quarters area for illegal construction.

The action was taken on the directives of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal.

In the same area, a KBCA demolition squad razed illegally raised partition walls and the shuttering erected for the construction of a third floor on plot number 93, Block-3, Rohail Khand Society.

Another demolition squad, in compliance with a Sindh High Court order, demolished illegal constructions on plot number SC-6, Block-A, North Nazimabad.

In the same area, the roof of the first floor and backyard covering the compulsory open space on plot number B-81, Block-F was also demolished. Shuttering erected for the construction of shops illegally was removed and the courtyard of plot number A-242, Block-A, North Nazimabad was sealed off.

Yet another KBCA team sealed off a CNG station and the compressor and generator room built on plot number PP-171, Block-13-C, North Nazimabad.

In Liaquatabad Town, the third floor partition walls raised on plot number 10, Street-13, Block 5, Nazimabad, and the illegally constructed third floor roof and partition walls on plot number 5-D, 10/4, Nazimabad, were demolished by a KBCA team.—APP
