LAHORE, April 6: Nabeel Ahmed, Patron-in-Chief of the Model Town Cricket Club, Lahore, has been elected as vice-president of the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA).

According to a press release issued by the cricket club, West Indies Cricket Board President Dr Julian Hunte conducted the elections recently.

The USACA is an affiliated unit of the International Cricket Council.

“To see a Pakistani in the USACA is really heartening and a pride for Pakistan,” a spokesman of the club said in the press release.

Nabeel had migrated to Michigan, USA, in 1980. He is also the chairman of Great Lakes Cricket Conference and Trustee of Detroit Cricket Club.
