Girl sent to Darul Aman

By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, April 5: The sessions judge on Saturday ordered to carry out medical examination of a married girl to determine her age after the girl’s mother claimed that she was 11-year-old while her in-laws insisted she was 17.

The court sent the girl to Darul Aman until a medical board carried out her examination. She would be examined on Monday when police produced her before the board in the Civil Hospital or Services Hospital.

The girl, Sadaf Naz, was produced by police officer Malik Sher Ali in the court in response to a notice issued on an application, which was filed by Sadaf’s mother, Noor Bano.

Bano who is resident of Baban Shah Colony said that her daughter was being subjected to excesses by her husband Jibran while the girl denied her mother’s charges.
