BD squad arrives tomorrow

KARACHI, April 4: The 15-member Bangladesh squad, led by Mohammad Ashraful, will land here at the Quaid-i-Azam International Airport early Sunday morning to play a one-day series against Pakistan besides a Twenty20 international.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) invited Bangladesh for a five-match One-day International series following Australia’s pullout of their scheduled tour of Pakistan in March-April due to security concerns.

Ashraful and coach Shaun Williams will address a news conference here at the team’s hotel in the afternoon on Sunday.

The opening match of the ODI series will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on April 8.

Bangladesh squad: Mohammad Ashraful (captain), Mashrafe Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Junaid Siddique, Aftab Ahmed, Nazimuddin, Shahriar Nafees, Saqibul Hasan, Raqibul Hasan, Dhiman Ghosh (wicket-keeper), Abdur Razzak, Shahadat Hossain, Mahmudullah, Farhad Reza and Syed Rasel.—APP
